To You Who Feel Unloved

Let me start by saying I’m sorry.

I’m sorry for the times people closest to you, who are supposed to love you no matter what, made you feel worthless. I’m sorry you think nobody wants you around. I’m sorry if it feels like nothing you do is good enough.

Please don’t think the world doesn’t need you. There is only one you. You are the only one, now or ever, with your combination of talents, experiences, and passions. You are unique like a snowflake. Let the sun shine on you and help you stand out like you were meant to.

Instead of hiding your wounds and pain, use them to help others. Don’t lash out because the rage keeps growing inside you, but channel your anger into compassion for someone in a similar situation. Use the memory of your hurt to help others heal. Doing this is part of your purpose and will slowly help you heal.

You will discover you are loved and needed.

Right now, there is someone out there who is wondering what is wrong with them. They are feeling worthless and broken. They are waiting for you to come along and show them they are OK. They may have been hurt but they are not broken. If you don’t show them they have value, they may never see it.

They may never know the truth if you don’t reach out to them.

When you hold back and dwell on your anguish, not only will you not heal, but you can’t help that person.

If you can find a way to reach out a hand, you will help two people. I hope you choose that.

No matter what, I hope you remember you are loved.
